The signup process is genuinely simple. Snap built their platform for online enrollment, and it shows. No fighting through a clunky website or waiting on hold just to give someone your address. Most enrollments complete in a few minutes.

Rates are competitive. Snap prices to compete on value rather than brand recognition. On a home using 1,000 units a month, their plans sit at or below mid-market rates for Texas. No free-nights math to decode, no usage tier multipliers. The rate you sign up for is the rate on your light bill.

What to Watch Out For

Snap started in 2019. That’s not a long track record. Bigger Texas light companies have decades of operational history; Snap has a few years. In a deregulated market, newer companies do sometimes change direction or exit. That’s not a prediction, it’s context worth having when you’re signing a 12-month or 24-month contract.

Because they’re newer, public review volume is thinner than you’d find for companies that have operated for 15 to 20 years. Less data makes it harder to know how their customer service handles problems at scale.

Same-day service is weekday-only with a 4 PM cutoff. If your lights got cut off on a Saturday or you’re calling after hours, you’re looking at next business day.
