Texas Utility Service Areas
Texas has 4 major wire companies that deliver power to your home. You can't pick your wire company, but you CAN pick your light company. Find yours below.
What's a Wire Company?
In Texas, the company that owns the power lines and meters is separate from the company you buy your lights from. The wire company (called a TDU) delivers the power. Your light company handles billing and your plan.
You can't change your wire company — it's based on your address. But you CAN choose which light company you buy from. That's where we come in.
How It Works
Your address determines your wire company (CenterPoint, Oncor, TNMP, or AEP).
You pick a light company and plan — including no-deposit, pay-as-you-go options.
Your wire company delivers the power. Your light company handles the billing.
